Swell de Spirits Bielle 2015 #
Dieser Rhum Agricole wurde 2015 von der Bielle Destillerie aus Zuckerrohrsaft auf Marie Galante (Guadeloupe) hergestellt.Er reifte für insgesamt 8 Jahre in einem Eichenfass - 7 davon im tropischen Klima auf der kleinen Insel Marie Galante und 1 weiteres Jahr in Frankreich. Im März 2023 (03/2023) wurde der Rum in Fassstärke mit 56.20% abgefüllt. Für die Destillation wurde eine Column Still verwendet.
Tasting Notes von Swell des Spirits
Color: Amber
Nose: Classic menthol notes at first that bring freshness, then dark funk, rubber mats, extra creamy crème caramel, thick orange marmalade, kumquats, nectarines, strawberries, vanilla cream, liquorice, frangipani flowers, primroses and irises.
On the palate: It's wonderfully thick and smooth, petrichor, floral notes,
candied oranges on warm buttered brioche, candle wax, tobacco,
rich coffee, chicory, wild mushrooms, a paper bag full of licorice,
dark chocolate and vanilla truffles, nice note of mint, and brown sauce on the meatballs.
Finish: Long spicy finish with licorice pipes, orange slices and coffee
in a metal mug over a campfire on a cold fall day.
Conclusion: A cuvée of incredible sweetness full of surprises that needs
aeration to embellish itself and whose amateurs will get their money's worth, meaning that one bottle will simply not be enough!
