Swell de Spirits Field Trip #4 Tiffon 1945 50cl (10/2023)
Dieser Cognac wurde 1945 von Tiffon aus Ugni Blanc Trauben in Petite Champagne (Cognac), Frankreich hergestellt.Er reifte bis in die 1990er Jahre Jahre in einem französischem Eichenfass und lagerte dann bis 2023 in einem Dame Jeanne Glasballon. Für Swell de Spirits wurden im Oktober gerade 60 Flaschen in Fassstärke mit 49.20% abgefüllt. Für die Destillation wurde eine Alambic Charentais (Pot Still) verwendet.

Nose: Balsam, marjoram, sage, thyme, morels, moss, acorns, rhododendrons, wood smoke, autumn leaves, grass, plum plums, peach biscuit tart, apples, tangerines, milk chocolate truffles and vinyl.
Taste: Very smooth palate with lots of flavors including oak, tangerines, raspberries, peach biscuit tart, spiced plum tart, balsam, beeswax, sage, lemon thyme, bomb mint chocolate and tahini.
Finale: A tangerine-covered cheesecake with a biscuit base.
Nose with water: Cashew butter, milk chocolate truffles, rubber mat, vinyl, cream donuts, strawberry and champagne jam, banana jam, banana liqueur, sage jelly, tart peach cookie and pecan pie with vanilla ice cream.
Mouth with water: Honey on hot buttered brioche, dry spices, tarte tatin with Chantilly cream, pineapple upside down cake, balsamic vinegar, with cherries, tangerines, mangoes and pineapples in a bowl of fruit in oak, and spices bursting in a copper saucepan.
Finish with water: Clove candies, anise candies with a hint of tannins.
