Dieser Armagnac wurde 1990 von Jean Cavé aus verschiedenen Rebsorten in Armagnac, Frankreich hergestellt.
Er reifte für 34 Jahre in einem Eichenfass und wurde 2024 für Swell de Spirits in Fassstärke mit 51.0% abgefüllt. Für die Destillation wurde eine Alambic Armagnacais (Column Still) verwendet.
Swell de Spirits schreibt zum Flashback #10 folgendes:
"Bow your head as you enter the timber-framed medieval shop and sample the aromatic country wines with their freshly printed labels, including birch, elderflower and dandelion, all served in silver tasting cups.
Color : Amber
Nose : On the nose, pronounced rancio aromas emerge, offering a funky complexity that intertwines nuances of walnut and hazelnut with delicate toasted and smoky notes. These oxidized notes then evolve into more complex aromas of dried figs, burnt caramel and a subtle touch of leather.
Palate : The attack on the palate is assertive, immediately highlighting a harmonious balance between ripe fruit and well-integrated tannins, which provide a rich, velvety texture with exceptional roundness. The deep orange hue indicates both maturity and the presence of oxidative aging. As the Armagnac develops on the palate, the texture is soft and ample, filling the mouth with an evolving complexity of flavors. Toasted almonds and sweet raisins lead the way, but they are soon joined by more complex notes of candied orange peel, stewed prunes and even a hint of black tea.
