L'Encantada Renaissance Collection Domaine Cutxan 2005 #33 70cl (2023)
Dieser Armagnac wurde 2005 von Domaine Cutxan aus Ugni Blanc Trauben in Bas Armagnac, Frankreich hergestellt.
Er reifte für 17 Jahre in Fass 33 in einem feuchten Lagerhaus und wurde 2023 (10/2023) in Fassstärke mit 50.20% abgefüllt. Für die Destillation wurde eine Alambic Armagnacais (Column Still) verwendet.
L'Encantada schreibt zum Cutxan 2005: "Cutxan is the name of ahamlet neighbouring thisestate, located in the BasArmagnac region in thecommune of Cazaubon. Theland is windy, the soil issandy and the place ispeaceful. In the autumn, only the flightsof goshawks and theirdistinctive phonetics disturbthe vines. The cellar is rather damp andthe beautiful barrels made bythe local cooper sublimatethese armagnacs."
Tasting Notes
On the nose: "Notes of vanilla and oak, followed by spices, cinnamon, curry and cloves. Mirabelle plum, vine peach, the feeling of keeping astone in the mouth. The pleasant sensation of entering the bakery of a pastry shop... with the scent of nougat, tarts, brioches coming out of the oven, crème brûlée and soft caramel! A gourmet craving invites us to travel, with notes of oak that recall a walk in the woods and a caramel bonbonthat melts under the tongue..."
On the palate: "A pleasant, balanced attack. The caramel confectionery aspect is there, with the sweetness of the oak caressing the palate. Then the crunch of the tart, the warm cake. This Cutxan estate takes us on a journey with its notes of almonds, caramel and treacle. The silky texture brought out by the Baco grape variety: the crunchy caramel on the crème brûlée, the exotic fruitthat rushes in and intertwines! The finish is superb, delicious and elegant."
